Job Title: Paraprofessional

Location: Maplewood, MN

Hours: 30 hours per week

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to join our team in Maplewood, MN. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students within our school community. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the learning environment and make a positive impact on the lives of students.

Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in the implementation of lesson plans and instructional activities.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in various subjects.
Support students with special needs in the classroom, ensuring their inclusion and participation in all activities.
Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to address the unique needs of each student.
Monitor and address student behavior, promoting a respectful and supportive atmosphere.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or college credits preferred.
Experience working with students, especially in an educational setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the educational journey of students.
Basic computer skills.
