Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Alaska

Sunbelt is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team. Job Details:

Position: Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract
Experience Level: Entry level to experienced professionals

Responsibilities:

Provide virtual instruction and support to K-12 students with mild to moderate hearing impairments.
Design and implement individualized educational plans, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tailored to each student's needs.
Utilize digital teaching tools and technology to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.
Collaborate with other educators, parents, and educational professionals to enhance students' learning experiences.
Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and social growth.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Active state teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain one).
Experience working with students who have mild to moderate hearing impairments.
Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms and technology.
Knowledge of assessment tools and experience in developing IEPs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Passion for making a difference in the lives of students with hearing impairments.
