Location: Tyler, TX

Type: Travel/Contract

Duration: 12 Weeks

Shift: 7 a.m. - 8:30 p.m., Friday - Sunday

Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a 12-week travel assignment in Tyler, TX. This position involves performing a range of routine and advanced imaging procedures using state-of-the-art CT equipment. The technologist will float between the main hospital and the emergency room. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of CT experience, be comfortable working in the ER, and possess the required certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine and advanced CT imaging procedures
Utilize advanced CT technology and pressurized injection equipment for IV contrast administration
Assess patient contrast history for potential contraindications
Assist radiologists with invasive procedures and biopsies, ensuring accurate anatomical targeting
Maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms and adhere to Infection Control standards
Accurately code and enter charges for imaging procedures
Adapt care methods to meet diverse patient needs, including physical, psychosocial, cultural, and developmental considerations
Protect patient confidentiality and handle information sensitively

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
Prior travel experience preferred
Texas MRT Licensure
ARRT (R)(CT) certification
BLS (AHA) certification
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and meet Joint Commission onboarding requirements
