Job Description

We are hiring a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team on a 13-week contract basis in Binghamton, New York. As a CST, you will play a crucial role in assisting during surgical procedures and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the operating room. This position offers a 12 hour day shift. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of related experience as a CST and possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and properly sterilized.
Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies during procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and safety.
Provide support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after surgery.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedures and equipment usage.

Requirements:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
Minimum of two years of related experience as a CST.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
