Job Description

We are hiring a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team on a 13-week contract basis in Binghamton, New York. As a CST, you will play a crucial role in assisting during surgical procedures and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the operating room. This position offers a 12 hour day shift. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of related experience as a CST and possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and properly sterilized.
  • Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies during procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and safety.
  • Provide support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after surgery.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedures and equipment usage.

Requirements:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience as a CST.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
