Job Posting: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - 13-Week Contract Assignment - Charlotte, North Carolina
Schedule
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Call Required: 3 call shifts per contract weekday (7:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and one weekend shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) on either Saturday or Sunday.
Required Certifications
- BLS (completed through AHA or ARC only)
- Current and active compact or NC RN license
Required Experience
- 4+ years of Operating Room (OR) experience
- Experience with Craniotomies is a MUST
Essential Functions
- Collect and analyze data for healthcare consumer's health.
- Determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
- Identify expected outcomes and develop individualized plans.
- Develop plans for expected, measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate care, delegate elements of care, and evaluate progress.
- Practice congruently with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with healthcare consumers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate leadership and seek knowledge and competence.
- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
- Contribute to quality nursing practice and practice ethically.
- Promote shared governance and research for positive clinical outcomes.
Physical Requirements
- Walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Lift and support the weight of 35 pounds.
- Good, understandable English communication.
- Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity.
- Critical thinking and ability to concentrate.
- Quick response to changes in patient and unit conditions.
Skills
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status (AHA).
- Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of work and residence.
- For National License Compact (NLC) state residents, meet licensure requirements in the home state.
- Non-National License Compact state residents must have a current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state where they work.
