Job Description
Bring your expertise as a Certified Nursing Assistant to a dynamic behavioral health setting serving individuals with complex psychiatric needs. This 26-week contract offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while expanding your skills in a secure clinical environment.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Shift options:
- Days: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
- Evenings: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
- Nights: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living activitieshygiene, grooming, dressing, and mealsto ensure patient well-being.
- Monitor and document patient mood, behaviors, and any notable changes for clinical staff reference.
- Support therapeutic and structured activities under direction from nursing and clinical leadership.
- Help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment by adhering closely to established behavioral health protocols.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes alongside the nursing team.
- Communicate observations and updates clearly with interdisciplinary colleagues to promote cohesive care.
- Comply with all procedures for confidentiality, infection prevention, and patient safety.
Qualifications:
- Current CNA certification, meeting applicable state standards.
- BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
- Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Ability to stay composed and dependable in high-acuity or unpredictable situations.
- Able to complete all required screenings and onboarding processes.
