Qualifications:

Education:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year in a CVOR or perioperative setting.

Responsibilities:

Surgical Preparation: Prepare the cardiovascular operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterile before procedures.
Patient Assessment: Assess patients' health status and surgical readiness, ensuring they are prepared both physically and emotionally for cardiovascular surgery.
Surgical Assistance: Provide assistance to the surgical team, including the cardiovascular surgeon and surgical technologists, by passing instruments, suturing, and handling tissue specimens.
Intraoperative Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, including ECG, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, during procedures, and respond promptly to any changes or abnormalities.
Medication Administration: Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the anesthesia provider or surgeon and monitor patients' responses.
Post-Operative Care: Provide immediate post-operative care, including monitoring patients in the CVOR recovery area, assessing incisions, and managing any complications.
