Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 23-24 school year in Borden, TX. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, helping them to achieve academic success and develop life skills.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
Provide specialized instruction and support in a variety of subject areas
Use a variety of teaching strategies and materials to meet the individual needs of students
Monitor and assess student progress, adjust instruction as needed, and provide regular progress reports to parents and other stakeholders
Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant information
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
Valid Texas teaching certificate in Special Education
Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with others to meet the needs of students
Positive attitude and a commitment to student success
