We have an opportunity for professionals with a background in providing personalized support to students with orthopedic impairments. This position is critical in fostering an inclusive learning environment for K-12 students who require assistance with mobility.

Qualifications:

• CPI Certification
• Training in Assistive Technology and Mobility Devices
• Background in Medical or CNA roles preferred
• Experience working in California schools
• Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred

Location: Indio, California

Responsibilities:

• Assist the OI Specialist in monitoring and supporting students using walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids
• Provide guidance and training to students on the proper use of mobility devices
• Collaborate with instructional staff to create a supportive learning atmosphere
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized support plans
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and equipment use
