Job Details:

Position: Digital Teacher of the Visually Impaired
Location: West Virginia (Remote)
Employment: Full-time
Contract: School year duration
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

As a Digital Teacher of the Visually Impaired with VocoVision, you will:

Deliver individualized instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments through a virtual platform.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Utilize specialized tools and technology to adapt curriculum materials and provide accessible learning experiences for students.
Conduct assessments to determine students' unique needs and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Foster a supportive and inclusive virtual classroom environment that promotes engagement and active participation.
Provide guidance and support to classroom teachers in implementing accommodations and modifications for students with visual impairments.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and other team members.
Participate in virtual meetings, professional development, and training as required.

Requirements:

Valid West Virginia teaching certification in Visual Impairments.
Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments, especially those with mild to moderate diagnoses.
Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and assessment processes.
Proficient in using technology for virtual instruction and communication.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
High degree of empathy and patience.
Reliable and dedicated to making a positive impact on students' education.
