Digital Teacher of the Visually Impaired - West Virginia (K-12)

As a Digital Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized educational services to K-12 students with mild to moderate visual impairments.

Responsibilities:

Provide online instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments, tailoring curriculum and teaching methods to individual student needs.
Conduct assessments to determine student needs and strengths, and develop appropriate educational plans.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Utilize digital platforms and assistive technologies to create engaging and accessible learning materials.
Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction as needed to ensure academic growth.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (Master's preferred).
Valid teaching certification in West Virginia with endorsement in Visual Impairment.
Proven experience working with students who have visual impairments, including those with mild to moderate diagnoses.
Familiarity with online education platforms and technology for remote instruction.
Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and IEP development.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
