Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)  - Virginia

Job Type: 1099 Contract 
Contract Duration: 2024-2025 School Year
Caseload: K-12 students
Hours: Full time

VocoVision is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments to work as an independent contractor for a short term assignment during 2024-2025 school year. This position is fully remote and operates on the VocoVision teletherapy platform.


  • Work with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide virtual services to Visually Impaired students
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, and staff to ensure student success.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.


  • Valid certification for Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments
  • Licensed in Virginia 
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience with visually impaired students
  • Previous virtual experience is preferred, but not required
