Ranked as the third-most populous city in the United States after New York and Los Angeles, Chicago, Illinois needs no introduction. Often referred to as “The Windy City” or “The City of Broad Shoulders,” this city became notorious for its 1920s gangsters, including Al Capone. But don’t worry about it’s nefarious past as the overall crime rate has been declining since the 1990s.
Located on the southwestern tip of Lake Michigan, you can enjoy a moderate climate with four distinct seasons. In 2006, Chicago was name “The Best Sport City” by The Sporting News. Or, check out the Navy Pier with restaurants, museums and a great Ferris wheel. The Chicago Cultural Center is a must stop for the history lover. And, the ceiling of the Preston Bradley Hall includes a 38-foot Tiffany glass dome, a magnificent site.
