Not to be missed is Memphis in May, the month-long celebration of heritage and entertainment, consists of the Beale Street Music Festival, International Week, the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, and the Sunset Symphony.  If you have a love of history, definitely stop by the National Civil Rights Museum, formally known as the Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated.
