Orientation and Mobility Specialist (Part-Time) Job
Grayling, MI- A local school district in the Grayling area has a need for an Orientation and Mobility Specialist for the current school year. O&M will be providing services to deaf, blind, or visually impaired students within the district. O&M will be involved in IEPT and M.E.T. meetings when directed, develop educational activities for the students, provide pre-referral consultation to regular education personnel, and perform CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) techniques such as lifting and positioning students, etc.
- Possession of a State of Michigan Special Education Approval as a Teacher Consultant for students with visual impairment as defined in the Michigan Administrative Rules of Special Education
- ACVREP Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist
