Maternity Leave Physical Therapist Job Opening in Pacific, WA
We're scheduling interviews for a maternity leave Physical Therapist job opening at a local school district in the Pacific, WA area. In this role, the Physical Therapist will work 37.5 hours per week at several school sites. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for collaborating with family and educational team members to develop appropriate education programs and advises on health related concerns as they impact special education students. The Physical Therapist's goal is to help students function as independently as possible, within the least restrictive environment.
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating the student's physical, motor, mobility skills, as well as the school environment to identify performance deficits that will interfere with student development, learning and access to education. Other job requirements include coordinating services with the IEP team and parents, as well as develops physical therapy intervention plans that include a variety of service delivery models: direct services, collaboration or shared goals/objectives with onsite special education staff and consultations.
The Physical Therapist have a current WA state Physical Therapy license, a degree in Physical Therapy and able to acquire the Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification. New graduates are encouraged to apply!
