I am scheduling interviews for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing near Thurmont, Maryland.
35 hours per week, for the full school year
Itinerant contractual position
Caseload includes K-12th grade students with moderate to intensive hearing impairment
Responsibilities will include initial and re-evaluations, writing IEP's, developing and adapting curriculum, monitoring and recording progress, providing support to general education teachers, and providing direct student services
Maryland State Department of Education certification as Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is required, along with recent, relevant experience.
Out of state applicants and new grads with verification of eligibility for certification are welcome to apply
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required due to the itinerant nature of this role
Preferred candidate will be flexible, with exceptional time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively.
